I have the same issue with my 2012 Mustang GT with the rims that came with the Brembo brake package. I bought the car used in 2016 and Ford offered me no help on the issue. The car has little over 235k miles on it now so they look pretty bad now on a car that is only 8 years old.

i have some issue with my 2016 lariat. 20” wheels same looking color rims - honestly I love the look of rims and was considering trying to get them powder coated black - but is it possible to get these replaced? All four of mine are chipping, no damage to rims, all tires replaced through dealer. Cant believe they look as bad as they do with less than 50k miles on them

Same issue. 2016 lariat less than 50k Miles. No damage to wheels. Tires replaced by dealer. All 4 wheels are peeling. Who do I need to contact at Ford?

I sent you a PM CJB XLT.

Thanks!
Fxbdy93,
Did you have any luck getting your wheels replaced with the dealer?

If your 3 year/ 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty has expired you are probably SOL.

I've been hoping to find a set of these, planned to strip, paint recesses like where lugs are semi gloss black, maybe with texture ... then polish the faces, spokes & outer rim surface (not the inside where stick on weights go) to a mirror look and call it done.

thats actually what I want to do, but pay someone to do it professionally, because I really like the rims I just hate that they’re peeling and i feel like it will be wasted effort to try and get Ford to replace or repair these since I’m outside of warranty (which is honestly a bull**** warranty for a $60k truck)
