2016 Platinum F150 FX4. Anybody running 35x12.50 on the stock 20's?
Been digging and searching through the forum and can't find the answer so I figure I would post. I really did dig a lot in the forum. I promise.
I've got a 2016 Platinum FX4 and have an AS 2.5" Front / 3" Rear block ready to install. Found a sweet deal on a brand new set of 35x12.50/20 and wanted to see if they are going to work with this lift on the stock wheels before I pulled the trigger on the deal. Seems like everyone is running 285/65 so my concern is if they are going to rub. Really don't want to do wheel spacers and I like the factory wheels so not looking to replace them either.
So.. Anyone making a 35x12.50/20 work on stockers with a 2.5" Front/3" Rear lift?

They should work with some minor trimming on the leading edge of the air dam but it really depends on how aggressive of a tread the tires have. If memory serves me correctly the stock 20's are 8.5" wide which will work with a 12.50 tire but I can't remember what the backspace is. An aggressive tread design will rub on the upper A-arm without some sort of spacer.

The tires I'm looking at are the BFG AT KO2's if that helps.

It's all about the backspace of the wheel with these trucks, I think the oem 20's have at least a 6" backspace if not more so they will probably rub the A-arm. I have aftermarket 20's that have a 6" backspace and running the 285/65/20 BFG KO's and it's very close. Your tires will be an inch wider with a small amount of sidewall bulge with a 8.5" rim. My winter tires are 35/12.50/17 KM2 on a 8.5 inch wide rim with 5" of backspace and they are close. Rough Country makes a .25" spacer they sell with their leveling kits so you can run that tire size with oem rims.
