Running board mounting bracket

Just purchased 2017 F150 and was curious if anyone has found Ford running board mounting brackets that would lower the board, as close as it is to the body of the truck it's currently useless to me.

Just came over from my Super Duty life...had 6.

Thanks

Which trim level do you have? I have an XLT with the normal black painted running boards and they are fine. Any lower and they would drag when going over things like railroad tracks and humps...

your best bet is probably to take them off and have a machine shop make new brackets or bracket spacers.

I doubt you will find anything "off-the-shelf" to buy.

If you find a local machine shop it probably won't cost much anyway.

Dunno, but clearly they weren't designed for lifted trucks. Being 6'4" has nothing to do with it. I'm 6'2" and don't even use the things, my truck didn't even come with them, I bought factory take-offs off ebay cause my wife and kids needed help getting in, I rarely use them. a 2" lift I would have no problem getting in either, you being 2" taller than me sholdn't either.
