I've got a set of the OEM box side steps that came off a '09 screw 6.5' bed, and I'm wondering if they can be fitted to my 2016 screw 6.5' bed. Anybody tried this? They're basically a two-part assembly, and it looks like the step half of the assembly is the same, and maybe just the large bracket that goes between the step and the frame is different. I know this is a rare issue - but figured this would be the place to ask somebody. The brackets for the '16 are $144 apiece, expensive, but way less than the whole assembly. Any help would be appreciated!
