Bought a 2016 F150 with 5.0 late last year,, took off center mounted license plate bracket off front bumper. There is now a large open area with two small uprights in center of bumper.....seems like that should be for inter-cooled trucks only?....do i have the wrong bumper insert on this truck? The bumper looks exactly like that of the chromed truck in the site banner above. Thx.

 

The front bumper and substructure is the same on all trucks. It's a lot easier and cheaper for Ford to make them all the same.

 

Just found this, there ARE two different front bumper inserts as oem Ford parts. One with the large hole and 2 upright slats and the other that is covered over. See this post....
