Garage Length? Super Crew

Moved into a new house, long story.

The garage is 232 inches long, measured from interior wall to garage door/brackets sticking out. I am having a garage door guy out Monday to see if we can pop the trimmer board (2x8) off from around the garage door and push it out a couple more inches, plus it isnt exactly all the way up against the trimmer board as is.

What are you guys finding out about length of garages the trucks fit in, its a super crew 5.5 bed. Ford spec sheet says it is 231.9 inches long, I assume with the front license plate.

I have parked in a tight garage before in another truck so no biggie if i only have 3-4 inches of play.

To complicate this the truck is currently in the shop so I can't measure it right now. I think for my next new truck purchase I will get a Raptor supercab 5.5 ft bed.

Go to the dealership and measure a similar truck - going by the specs isn't the best thing to do.

I had to do this when I bought my 2009 because of the tow mirrors. I have an old barn that I park everything in which has the doors that open sideways on tracks/rollers. I took exact measurements. Turned out I have to fold one mirror in - oh how I wish for power fold mirrors most days.....

Well I have one. But its been in the shop for like a week now for a water leak causing an elect. short it seems like.

So the garage door guy is coming monday to check out the house and I am seeing if you guys are finding the advertised measurement from Ford is exact or not.

I know my 2005 barely fit in my garage, the 2015 supercrew with 6.5' bed is about 18" too long

I just bought a new supercrew shortbed. I actually drove the truck home to see if it would fit in my garage while I was on the test drive. I was convinced it would not fit, but was surprised to find it actually fit. The spec sheet shows the truck to be 231.9" in length. My garage is 233.5". It is literally wall to wall, but the door goes down and that's all I need to know. I really did not want to spend money on a new truck and then have to park it outside. Hope this helps you.

Drive it in until you touch the front wall... Should just fit..

I've got a 23' deep garage and a 145" WB F150 and I can still open my beer fridge that's right in front of it..

I only leave an inch of space between the rear bumper and the garage door, but I'm glad for the deep garage!

Good luck!

Mitch

Garages are for broke vehicles.

Unless you live in a townhome community...

Now I need to clean out this garage and see if I can get in. Parking 2 trucks in the street is difficult. One ok.
