Guess I found out how much jump this engine actually has

Driving home last night, a twerp in his tricked out little Hyundai was launching from every street light. He'd haul it up to the next red light, then the next red light, every time his rear end slamming to the ground from the acceleration. It was no slouch, I'll admit that.

So it timed that I pulled next to him. He's all trying to get a rolling start, and I just sat there. Light turned green, I mashed it. He had no chance. I had no idea.

There's no substitute for a good ol' V8. I am quite proud of my 385 horses. I'll make sure to keep the stable clean and dry, and the food trough filled and yummy apples whenever they want.

It's even more fun with the tranny in Sport mode. Love my 5.0.

I feel the 5.0 is really an unsung hero. With the weight drop the 2015 had, I honestly feel like my truck is pretty damn agile for being what it is, and I'm almost too confident throwing it around on the highway like I did my Mustang GT. lol

Not to take away from the EB platform, but I feel it's over-hyped, to be honest.

I had a 3.5 eco-in my 2012 and switched to a 5.0 in the new 2015. I have to say having a V-8 with the right exhaust makes you feel like you're driving a muscle car.

My 2015 with the base 3.5 is quick so I can only imagine how nice the 5.0 is!

Just had to pass someone this morning. Doing 30 in a 40, people just piled up behind me as I waited for a gap to open. I was up to 55 without even trying. Got paranoid looking for a cop to grab me! "Go figures, I'll get busted for this stunt..."

Coast is clear. Downshifting is this truck's bread and butter. Seriously too quick for its own good.

Now..... to test if that 120mph speedometer really lets me get up to 120mph....

Probably not. The last 3 generations of 150's have been top speed limited to 100 mph or less. No reason to suspect ford has changed their ways.
