Geekin' out the new truck

As much crap as I give the wife about being a scifi geek, I may have finally out geeked her. My daughter is insisting on naming the new truck for reasons that are only logical to a 10 year old. Since it's a race red XLT with the sport package and blacked out trim, her latest campaign is to name it Darth Maul. Well since we have tickets for opening weekend, I may have given in and just set this as the MFT background.

I'm no scifi geek, but it looks pretty perfect to me!

Okay so exactly how do I do this? Do I need the SD card to load it in? Or can I link up my USB drive?

Under the setting section on the touchscreen. There is an option to change wallpaper. It gives you the file size required and yes you can use the usb port.

You mean you can load your own "Truckers Calendar" in there?

If you are making your own, it's a bit of a pain to get the 800x384 resolution. But there are a lot of galleries out there. Google-myford touch wallpaper!

I hope this helps!

I found my current one in some random gallery.

It's not really a pain you just have to resize the file. Just be aware it may stretch the picture one way or the other depending on the original file size.

Also the file does not have to be exactly 800x384 that is just the max. It can be under those dimensions it just will not fill up the entire screen.

So how do you get a photo changed to that resolution. I have tried using photos I took with my phone and it won't do anything with them. How do you resize the picture.

Thanks,

F 1Fiddy, do you have a photo editor on your computer? If not, you could download Google's Picasa and change the size there. Its free and has all kinds of cool features.

I still use the old Office picture manager but usually any program that lets you load and view pictures can change the file size.

There's also this site with a lot of different themed wall papers. You can edit the size of the wallpaper to 800x384 before downloading.
