Why? I press mine just once to lock all doors and only press it twice to confirm (by hearing the horn) that it HAS locked.

But, if there's a way to disable it, you can probably find it in the owner's manual.

Do you know if there's away to lock the doors with the engine running so you can walk away and leave it running? The truck seemingly wont let you do this... which is annoying as hell

If you have the key pad on the door, hold down the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons at the same time and you can lock the truck with it running, or with it not running and the keys in the ignition.

Makes sense, Rick. Your English is fine, by the way. Far superior to my French, which I learned in high school and have totally forgotten!

Edit: I just looked at the section on Locking and Unlocking in the 4th printing of your Owners Manual (downloaded here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...h-results.html), and sadly, I don't see a way to disable the honk. Could you change the activation of the remote start to the "Unlock Button" instead of the "Lock Button"? Since you're going to drive the truck after starting it, it would seem logical to unlock it. Perhaps, if you were not going to be in the truck immediately, you could then hit "Lock" again once after starting it.
