Radio Antennae Replacement

Need to replace the radio antennae on my 2015 with something shorter so it's not scraping the garage door. Had an Antennae X billet on my 2013 and wasn't thrilled with it, the standard steel adapters left a lot to be desired. Any suggestions?

carefully remove the little ball from the oem antenna a cut it to size. then just put the ball back on . Now I know if the antenna hits anything the truck will too.

All the auto parts chains carry shorter aftermarket antennas in a variety of sizes and materials.

Seems to me that may adversely affect FM reception.

My fm works fine. Only cutting a few inches, not to a nub.

Yeah dont get why it is so tall. On a Dodge 2500 I had the antena was my warning I was dangerously close to the roof.

On this F150 it kinda made me over think a few times when the antena would hit stuff.

I cut just my antennae down to just above the height of the cab. It also needed a repaint, so did that, now it's drying.

Just unscrew it from the truck and cut it with a hack saw.
