Does anyone know if the tonneau cover off a 2012 is the same as the one for a 2015. My salesman seemed to think the 2015 was a little different. Saved mine off my 2012 with the idea of putting it on my 2015.

 

without knowing what brand and style you have, I had a truxedo roll up cover that I purchased for my 2008 5.5 bed. I was able to use it on my 2010, but it was just short of fitting on my 2015, and I had to purchase a new truxedo cover. The remote tailgate works just fine with the cover.

 

I bought mine in 2012 from the dealer sounds like it is not going to fit

 

A buddy of mine had a 2011 and we tried to fit the topper from it on to his 2015. It was pretty good except at the rear where it met the tailgate. He ended up selling the topper and getting a new one.

I would say there is a chance you could make it work but it won't be 100% correct fit.

 

There were quite a bit of styling changes with the 2015 model. I seriously doubt it will fit acceptably. You certainly would not want to mess up the looks of a new truck with a crappy fitting bed cover.

What sort of tonneau cover is it? The bed size changes by about half an inch from 2014 to 2015 F150s, so it likely won't fit.

 

Mine was a Ford cover, I just cut off the front portion of the U Bracket that goes down over the front of the box. The 2015 with box liner is wider on the front of the box so the U bracket will not go down over it. The new ford covers don't have a U bracket just Half a bracket,in other words it is just a stop now. You jam the stop up tight to the front of the box and tighten the side clamps. All else is the same.
