2015 and insurance

Anyone that upgraded from a previous generation F150 to a 2015 notice that their insurance premiums went up significantly?

Mine actually went down from my 2012. It was a pleasant surprise.

oh yeah, from a 2010 KR to a 2015 Lariat, 500$more a year
but I had 3 claim with the KR:
- a truck took out my driver side mirror,
- the windshield
- the back glass

I imagined those were the reason it went so high

Not from a truck to a truck but went from a car to a truck. LM jacked my rate up about $400. I called USAA and got insurance for about the same as I paid on the car. I think insurance companies just see switching vehicles as an opportunity to stick it to you while your attention is diverted.

Call around. then report back here.

My insurance went down 85.00 a year from a 13 to the 15. Many discounts for BLIS, Inflatable Rear Seat Belts and the Lane Control.

LM was going to raise mine $43/month. It was time for the annual rate hike anyway, and I was going from an '06 Altima to the '15 F150 (that's a longer story). I switched to Nationwide, and instead of the $272/month LM was going to charge, I am now paying $130/month for my '15 F150 and my wife's '09 Odyssey combined. Be careful if you switch to Geico, and some others. From what I hear, they will give you a new customer low rate for the first 6 months, then jack it way up.
