Hi All,

Does anyone know when the 2016 production will start? I had ordered a 2015 model, but it kept getting delayed (all the way to September). So at this point I think I'd prefer to wait and just get a 2016 model.

Also, any idea is sync 3 will be on the 2016?

The new sync system that leaves Microsoft has made me wait until it's in the F150. Hope soon.

looks like the sync 3 is not in the initial roll out of the 2016 F150

 

What are you basing that on? On the Ford Fleet orders website the 2016 brochure has a photo of the dash that clearly shows the Sync 3 display.

 

Some Ford and Lincoln nameplates will get Sync 3 for the 2016 model year while others will wait until the next model year.
2016: Ford C-Max, Edge, Escape, Expedition, Fiesta, Flex, Mustang, Transit; Lincoln MKC, MKS, MKT, Navigator
2017: Ford Explorer, Fusion, Transit Connect; Lincoln MKX, MKZ
Unclear: Ford F series, Focus, Taurus

Reason some 2016 Ford models will not get SYNC 3 is b/c some 2016s are already out. Eg Super Duty (F-Series) and Explorer have been out for awhile and will be moving onto 2017 Super Duty soon. Sync 3 is launching on Escape and Fiesta this summer. Since F150 is launching in the winter it seems logical it will launch on 2016 F150. 2016 F-150 Fleet Preview is incomplete, there is no order guide yet for the 2016 F-150.

SYNC 3 will first launch on the 2016 Escape and 2016 Fiesta this summer. It will make its way to all vehilce lines in North America by the end of 2016.

After ordering a 2015 163" WB February told in Sept it would now be a 2016 model build date of Nov., Was informed today by the dealer Ford said production would be the 1st quarter of 2016 but would not be specific when.

Really disappointed with Ford on lack of integrity in communicating with dealers and customers.

 

Wow... that totally sucks.

I guess that's confirmation that they never built ANY 2015 SuperCab longbeds...
