Besides the reasons mentioned above, the poll also doesn't really show anything because some models only have certain engine choices. If I want a Platinum, I'm looking between 5.0 base or 3.5TT option (which is what I would choose). If I had the choice of all 4, I'd hit up the 2.7 without hesitation. Whatever gets best mileage is good by me, I've never towed a thing in my life & have never hauled anything of significance. I can only imagine someday having my truck as quiet as my Fusion Hybrid in electric mode, I'd choose that if I could. It's so peaceful and doesn't use a drop of fuel. Each owner will choose what's best for him/her. But Ford takes some of that choice away depending on what you buy, so this poll has no shot at any type of real accuracy at all. Sorry, poll. Maybe in a few months you should turn yourself into a: Which model did you buy, Plat, KR, L, XLT or XL, poll. Ford says everyone buys the fancy trims in a remodeled vehicles first year, so let's see. Maybe someone out there is dying to get their hands on a reg cab, 2x4, oxford white XL with manual window cranks & vinyl wash-out-with-hose interior on Day 1...

I could say just the same .... I can't see buying an engine that has less HP, less efficient, and less torque in a full size truck

That's like saying you don't want a smaller smartphone because the old phones were bigger .... sometimes better technology is packed into a smaller area.

Those high rpm turbos produce a lot of heat. And turbo chargers are a part that historically has a fairly high failure rate.
I'm holding out for the nuclear power plant that only needs refueling every 250,000 miles.

Oh really, I've personally seen Audis with 300,000 miles on factory K03s. With just happens to be the same turbo used on the EcoBoost. The water cooler cooled turbos are extremely reliable as long as the boost levels stay close to factory levels.

Come on, the 'turbos hurt reliability' crap has sailed. Give it up!
