Wrench Icon

Driving my truck today, my truck jerked, wrench icon came on and went into limp mode. Removed neg batt cable, foot on the brake, replaced batt cable truck restarted just fine, now out of limp mode, no wrench icon. This has never happened before, no ck eng lite, Any ideas will be a big help. Thanks

Next time check for codes before you disconnect the battery.

Truck details, please.

Thanks for the response. 2014 screw 4x4, 3.5 ecoboost, 116000 k. There are no ck eng lights. I deal with the advance track all the time, I don't know how to fix this either. The wrench comes on and the advance track lights up also..

The wrench light WILL set a code, disconnecting the battery clears it. You may need a new steering rack to fix the Advancetrak issue.

The wrench light will set a code, just like the check engine light.

There won't be one now because you disconnected the battery.

Ok, today wrench light came on again, I had my code reader, it posted a p0236 and a p0106 code. I removed battery cable restarted all good. Now a part I forgot to mention before, the only time the wrench icon has shown up is when I was pulling a trailer, today was the same, pulling a trailer. I did a bit of research and am wondering if my throttle body is going out.

Look at the turbo boost sensor and the MAP sensors and their circuits.
