2014 F-150 how do I get the U Joints out??

2014 F-150 how do I get the U Joints out??
I took the driveshaft out, and found I can't push the u joint far enough to free the cups...the body of the u joint (center hub) hits the yoke before the cups are far enough to release...Any preferred replacement shafts?
