Seat Covers
Seat Covers
After 9 years and nearly 200K, my 2012 SCab FX4 front buckets need new covers. The fabric is wearing and water stained, so I'm contemplating seat covers such made by Fia, or Covercraft, or should I seek to have an upholsterer remake them? The undercushions seem OK. I have no intentions to replace this truck for a long while. Recommendations appreciated.
Thanks for your comment. I've seen the videos and installation looks pretty straight-forward. Just wondering how they hold up. Many moons ago I put a cover on my '60 F100 and were saggy and not very comfortable. Looks like technology and materials are way better now, but will they look and function as well a year from now as when installed? Disappointing to hear the seat has to be removed. But if you gotta do it...
I just bought my second set of CalTrend Neoprene covers. My first set was eight years old. Structurally sound still, a testament to their manufacture quality. But, they were dirty and kinda gross. So, I replaced them with a new set about two weeks ago. They look and feel great.
