2009 - 2014 F-150

09 5.4L uses oil. Got any ideas?

I'd pull the cover, clean the orifice, and look see at any sludge at this point, if it were mine. I would also run 5w30 which I do in my '07.
i switched to 5w30 a while ago. Didn’t help the consumption.

I had a 95 Mark VIII Lincoln for 7 years which is about the same car as your tbird except with the 4V DOHC engine. I loved that car!

A motor that has run Conventional or on Semi Synthetic all its life might not ever be able to run a Synthetic and some motors like the 5.4 in my 2003 Did not like Mobil1 but was OK with Valvoline. I myself would put 5W 30 Motorcraft Semi Synthetic in it and see what it does.
