Both keyless remotes/FOBs stopped working

Both keyless remotes/FOBs stopped working
Hello all,
I have a 2014 F150 FX4
I have an issue where both of my remotes no longer work. They all of a sudden stopped working.
I changed both batteries and still no luck.
I also tried re-pairing them with the on-off ignition 8 times procedure but nothing happens when I press any button on the remotes (either one).
The truck battery has never been replaced and the truck starts with no problem (I live in Michigan so cold winters)
I have seen once in a while a message that says shutting off systems to save battery (or something like that).
I might have seen that recently (in the last 6 months maybe 3 times).
Not sure if that could be causing the problem but even if that was the problem I don't see how that could affect the pairing of the remotes.
