2010 stx 4x4 vibration

Hello everyone. When I put my truck in park or I’m at idle, I’ll get a slight vibration in the cab of the truck. It doesn’t always do it. Sometimes it’s smooth as glass. Other times I’ll get a vibration. Now the truck runs well and drives great, any idea what could cause it? Or is it normal and I’m just thinking way to hard. Any feedback appreciated

It's supposed to vibrate when it's on.

If you sat in my truck, you'd know it's on. I love the feeling of it.

My '07 Jeep Compass if you're not paying attention, you'd swear it was off. But there is still some vibration, not a lot, but some...

I suggest you clean the throttle body which is an easy job and put a couple of bottles of Chevron Techron or Gumout for high mileage engines with PEA in the gas. How many miles are on the plugs?

Hey guys it’s the 4.6 . And really? A little vibration at a stop is normal? That makes me feel better. I appreciate the feedback I’ll do the throttle body now. This forum is great.

The 4.6 should idle smoothly I would think. Is it a 3V engine?

It idles smoothly. The cab just vibrates sometimes . The rpms don’t fluctuate they are fine. And I wish I Knew. All I know is it is a 4.6 STX. 2010. I’m new to the f150

The 2 valve engine has a 4 speed transmission, the 3 valve engine has a 6 speed. The doghouse on top of the engine also should say something.

Rather than playing 20 questions .....

HINT/TIP: Put your -COMPLETE- vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature -OR- provide it in your posting(s).

Get someone to hold the brakes and rev the engine a little in drive while you observe the engine and see if the engine rocks too much. It might have bad motor supports? Just a thought.
