Hey guys,
First post but long time thread reader. I am having trouble with my remote start. It is definitely a "Valet Mode". I had this issue a few years ago and I remember it was a super easy process to reprogram. It was some sort of routine with pressing buttons, turning the key and pressing the break or something. I cannot for the life of me remember what it is and I cannot find it online either! Can anyone help with this?
By the way it is just the standard, one button remote starter, not anything fancy.

 

What year truck? If this is a factory remote start, have you looked through the owner's manual?

 

 

Turn the key on.
Press and hold the brake pedal down.
Push the remote button 3 times.
Horn should beep 6 times.

It's because glc knows how to use Google properly.

Believe it or not, most people don't know how to use a search engine effectively.

There's a lot of stuff I don't know, but I will know if I search for it effectively. I do it all the time to help folks out here on the forums.

(Secretively, I still think glc is a genius too... shhh don't tell him... )
