Vapor lock???

So I have a 2009 Ford F-150 stx four-wheel drive I was getting on the highway accelerating normally and my truck dies now I've been having issues with my fuel gauge recently we're fluctuates up and down so I assumed I was just out of gas had the girlfriend take me to get a gas can put gas in it and it re fired so I brought it to the gas station filled it up. That was the end of it but now it's died on me twice when I try to refire it cranks even when on accessory but if I go and open the easy Fuel fuel cap or whatever it's called it starts right back up any ideas?

Change the fuel filter, inspect the FPDM for cracks and corrosion.

The FPDM has to be removed from the frame to inspect the back side, that's where it corrodes and cracks.

I may be wrong, but I thought the first year of the in-tank fuel filter was 2010.

I did check and change the module it was all black plastic so I couldn't tell if it was corroded or not so far so good it hasn't died since I drove it about 60 miles thank you for your advice so far I hope this fixes it

What does the highlighted statement mean? "it cranks even when on accessory"

That's normal. If you release the key to the ON position it's going to crank till it starts or you turn the key off.
