Need some help with tire fitment

I have a 2009 f150 regular cab 2wd. I would like to put bigger tires on it. Looking at 285/70/17. If someone could let me know it's possible to put those on stock rims and if that setup will fit on my truck with or without a level. Any pics of something similar would be nice. Thanks in advance

There would be ~1" difference in the height within the wheelwell and to the inside width of the sidewall - ~2" overall on both. *.attachment

Some DIY measurements should answer your question(s).

NOTE: Given the ~6% speedo' error, the PCM could be flashed to accomodate the *new* RPM (Revolutions Per Mile), though given it's not a standard FoMoCo value (617) and therefore not IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System)-able, Forscan could be used.
