2010 Lifted F150 TCS Issues
Help!!! Just bought a 2010 F150 XLT 4x4, put 3" leveling kit on, 325/65/18 tires on after market wheels. While driving around a long sweeping curve the Traction Control kicks in and dang near wrecks you. I assumed it was from the bigger tires and that the computer needed updating for the bigger tires. Carried it to the dealer and they said that they could not calibrate the 2010 models. I have dug in and read as much as I could from this
forum and others that the speed difference is probably the culprit and some say the dealer can calibrate, some say they can't. I also read where you can buy a programmer to fix the issue. If I need to buy programmer, what is recommended? Will the one that just calibrates the speedometer good enough or is there other systems on the truck that needs to be calibrated to stop the issue. The truck is for my 17 year old son and I don't want the turn him loose in it until I can get the problem resolved. Thanks in advance for any help!

ISSUE RESOLVED! In case anybody runs into this in the future here is what my remedy was.....TSB 11-02-05 for 2009-2010 F150's....I carried the TSB to local dealer and he told me there was nothing to program and that I didn't have any fault codes stored. I asked him to do it anyways and he said there was nothing to do......Went straight to another dealer 60 miles away and they performed the update to the ASB system as directed in the TSB and 15 minutes later the problem was fixed!!! Hope this helps someone in the future!!!!
