Tow mirrors on the 2013 F150
Finally looking to part with my '99 and looked at a 2013 with tow mirrors today. The build sheet says 'HTD/PUB/MN T-TOW' mirror. I assume this means heated with puddle lights and manual. If that's correct, how do the extend and retract? I tried pulling on one and couldn't get it to budge. Also, is there a switch for the heated part or does it just come on when the truck heater is turned on?
Thanks,
Thanks,

As RSTHD150 said, they are manual, push or pull. On my 2010 the passenger side is much harder to pull out than the drivers side for some reason. So much that the wife can't get it or she feels like she is going to break it, lol so I always have to get that side.
Not sure what model truck you are looking at, but on my Lariat, when you use the rear defrost, it heats the mirrors. There is not a separate switch, on mine at least.
Good luck in your search!

If they look like this, they are manual pull out/push in.. These are heated and have the "puddle lite" under them when you open the door..
They do make them where they will tuck in and I think extend/retract with a button, but only on the higher end rigs.. I don't have that option, but all you gotta do is pull them out and they 'extend'.. Push them in and they retract..
