Was there a sport package for the 2011-12 XLT's

There is a new guy at work who transferred up from Georgia, anyway he has a 11 or 12 XLT screw in blue flame with painted bumpers and a painted grill surround, the grill insert is grey. Everything about this truck says its an FX2/4 but it has no fender flares and the fender badge says XLT. Did Ford sell a sport package on an XLT in those years or did this guy convert his to look like an FX4? Oh and the truck had step tubes like mine, but they are painted body color.

I don't think they offered the sport in Xlt trim. Probably just color matched the bumpers etc

Painted step bars? Definitely had some aftermarket paint work.

Painted steps on early FX2. Like 04-08 body

Sounds like he's had some paint work.

"Sport" is new to 2015 and replaces the STX package

I got a closer look at the truck today, it has black unpainted handles, and the step tubes are not like mine, but they appear to be ford tubes. The rubber tread inserts run length wise, end to end, not side to side like mine and they are smaller maybe 4" The truck also has a Texas edition badge on the tailgate, so I'm thinking that it may be a dealer conversion of some type.

Texas Edition is nothing more than the badge and a tad more chrome. Mine a Texas Edition and its taken me 2 years to get rid of alot of the chrome
