Trying to make truck look nicer
Be sure to check your local laws before spending the 100+ bucks on window tinting. I learned the hard way that my state doesn't allow the front windows to be as dark as the stock rear windows of my SCREW, and receiving that education from a grumpy cop wasn't an enjoyable experience either.
PTM caps are stupid simple and not expensive. I actually bought a set of the stock caps which are cheaper than the PTM parts, sanded them down do get rid of the textured surface, and had a nearby auto paint shop match them to my truck for about 60 bucks. You can do it yourself with paint and clearcoat from Napa, Carquest, Autozone etc, but I've never been good at painting and didn't feel like messing with it. It's a little thing but it adds a lot to the appearance, especially if your goal is to match the look of Lariat and Platinum trims.

Did you put tape on it and then cut around the letters so you could dip the blue oval and chrome bezel and then just peel the letters off? I tried that on mine but it looked awful up close. Yours is nice and clean. Good work!
Thanks man! I did the whole oval in plasti dip then cut the letters out with a scalpel no tape at all.

Ah cool thanks, maybe that's the trick then. Might try that today.
Awesome. Hope it works out this time. I did 4 coats of the Plasti dip allowing 20mins to dry between coats. I waited about 3hrs after the last coat then traced around the letters with a scalpel then carefully pealed the Plasti dip off the letters. Just be patient.
