front suspension noise
front suspension noise
I have a 2012 FX4 with a 1 3/4" Auto Springs leveling kit on the front suspension. I installed the kit approximately two years ago and everything has been fine. Just recently, I began hearing a noise in the front suspension when my steering wheel is turned/locked all of the way to the right and I am moving. I would describe it as a creaking sound similar to when you step on loose stairs in your house.
Any help where to look first would be greatly appreciated.

I only have 16,500 miles on the truck.
I did some trouble shooting and determined the noise was coming from the metal on metal contact of the steering stops at full turn. I simply applied a little grease to both metal surfaces and haven't had a problem since.

I've got noise in my '12 with no lift. It has kind of a clunking noise when I hit bumps. I can't find anything loose, but noticed that the drive shaft has in and out play in the front hub assembly. Should it have play or should it be snugged up tight. There is some rotational play before the drive axle contacts the splines as well. '12 w/ 97K on it.
