Question 2010 Lariat Super Cab Rear Door Issue

I posted this over in Body(Other), but this seems like a better place for my question.

I just bought a 2010 Lariat from my mom and the driver's side rear door will not open. I have done some research on this and I'm assuming that it's an issue with the cable that goes from the handle to the latch.
Has anyone else repaired this on a 2010?
Do I need to order any parts or just figure out how to re-tension the latch cable?

Any direction is appreciated. I searched the forums and the internet, but I can only find this issue on older trucks.

Thanks!

This just happened to me on my 2013 Screw. It ended up being the clip that connects the latch to the handle rod. Snapped. Crappy design if you ask me? Put a plastic c clamp clip on a door rod that will be opened thousands of times over the lifetime? I like the old bolt on each side of the mount old school method! Anyway I super glued mine shut until the replacement comes in. The dealership wanted 165 bucks just to pull the door panel off It is a 12 cent part that will cost 9 bucks plus shipping.

Here is the ford page for the replacement part.
