MPG Calculator Incorrect

I have a 2011 Supercrew. I've noticed a glitch with my MPG calculator. On the A/B Trip screen it says 13 MPGs, and on the MPG screen it'll say 16 MPGs. I usually reset the meters each time I fill up. It's done this for two tanks now (resets). Has anyone encountered this? Simple fix like a computer reset?

Thanks,
Hitch

Did you reset both screens individually?

Hmmm... No. I was under the impression that a "reset" would reset everything and not the page you're on. Makes sense. I'll try that and let you know. Thanks. The thing that caught my eye was the low MPG. Normal driving habits put me around 16 MPG (4x4 snow driving 14-15 MPG). Is there a fuse to pull to reset the computer or a way to "reboot"... Window's fix...

When you in the screen, press and hold the [ OK ] button.

It's all in the owner's manual.

(owner's manual) Don't have one ?
Owner's Manuals ««« -click-
» Select Your Year [ Choose One ]
» Select Your Make [ Choose One ]
» Select Your Model [ Choose One ]
»

The only way I can think of to "reboot" the computer is to disconnect the battery cable for a minute or two. There may be a better way, but I'm not aware of it. But you do need to reset the MPG pages individually by holding the OK button.

Mine seems to be very accurate. Yesterday I got an email for 10c off at the local gas station. So I went on and filled up ($1.95/gal). The computer said I had burned 13.6 gallons. The pump clicked off at 13.59 gallons..... I should have taken a picture.

I've noticed that my 2014 says it has used less gas than the pump at every fill....uses about 1 - 1 1/2 gals more on the pump than the onboard in a fill up (22-25 gallons)

Same here CC....usually 1 to 1.5 gal more on the pump than what the computer says. Then again, most of my driving is around town with hills and curves. So I can imagine that my truck keeps my onboard computer confused most of the time .
