Quote: Man sounds look a good deal for trade it. That's good. To bad the 5. Slow lived up to it's name.. ( joking people I like both engine)

Glad you found a good dealer. To bad I don't live in Texas
If i wouldnt have had or drove a eb then there would have been nothing wrong with the 5.0. But after driving my tuned eb for 36k miles in 15 months i guess im just use to it and the V8 seems slow.

I guess it would be like having a Supercharged 5.0 then trading it off for a stock one

Quote: Nice. Let's hope they stay true to their word and work with you.
I really think they will, i was walking around the dealership and noticed all the people that came in and the dealership treated them great. Everyone seemed happy. One older gentleman drove up and he picked up a new f250 lariat.. I heard him say this makes the 35th vehicle i have bought from you guys.. That right there tells me they are doing something right

Too bad that dealer is 4 1/2 away from Houston and 3 1/2 hours from College Station. Still might be worth the drive if they're that darn good to everyone all the time.

I'll try to remember them whenever the time comes.

Yea i would do the drive if i had to, I have always heard to deal straight with the internet sales dept for the best price. Thats what i did and it was no BS. With my 13 model i had to work for the 12k off and threaten to walk out a few times

Gotcha, it was crazy how different the 3.55s were compared to the 3.31s driving around. If someone wouldve told me that i wouldnt have believed them but i saw it first hand. Both trucks with the 3.55s were pretty peppy. Bet the 3.73s would be even better

Glad you are just going to stick it out and go with the 15's

It's not worth getting rid of it for 8 grand

Best of luck with the new dealer Coy

I believe the Job Bank for the 2015s for the truck you'd be looking for opens July 28. The order catalog should be available by then. If yer gonna buy a 2015. might as well have one of the first ones. The QC dept will be all over these first trucks so I wouldn't hesitate. Might as well order what ya want. Considering the dealer doesn't have to put the unit in his floorplan he should be able to work pretty tight with you on it. Might see what your current rig will bring selling it yourself.

Id like to wait until they are on the lots so i can get a good look at em and then figure out what trim i want, options, engine etc. It would be hard for me to order a vehicle with just seeing pics on the internet and magazines . Id also like to test drive the 3.5eb since its suppose to have more power and then take the 2.7 eb for a spin also

I totally agree on selling the truck myself.. I've looked on cl several times and am finding 2011 XLTs and people are asking 30k for em. Dont seem to stick around long either.. Guess people dont realize what the prices are of new trucks.

Even if the 5.0 and 3.5EB are same power they will feel 15% stronger with 15% less weight.

If my brain hasn't give out on me, the 3.5 EB will get a slight power boost to 370 HP and torque to 440lbs. If you didn't like the 2014 5.0, you'll hate the 2.7. The 2.7 is the fuel miser engine, not the power house. As the YM 2017 is getting closer, the light truck makers are up against having to lower the carbon footprint from 250 gCO2/mile to 163 gCO2/mile. There will be a lot of changes in the engines and the makers are trying to get a head start on it with YM 2015. As you know, you have to burn the gas to make the power. That won't compute with future engines. It's going to be fun after 2017 as the level of carbon has to be reduced 5% per year to YM 2025. Having fun yet?

FWIW, the 2.7 should make numbers close to 320HP with 350lbs torque. EPA is 18 town, 25 Hiway. I can assure you it will take some time to get accustomed to the auto stop/start crap especially in our hot Texas summers. Nothing like sitting at a long stop light while the engine is off to save a spoonful of gas while you die from no A/C. It's not an option for me. But then, I figure on rebuilding the old 2004 4.6 if it ever decides to give out. Super simple technology, no basket full of sensors to maintain, no turbos to replace, just hit the key and go. Yeah, I'm gettin old.

according to Wiki the 2015 Expy and Navigator 3.5eb is rated for 380/460 so i figured that would probably be the same for the F150, Just a guess on that though

I never thought about the auto start/stop and the AC, Yea that wont work for many people around here.

I've heard that there's something in place so that the start/stop doesn't turn of the A/C. But that's just a random thing I remembered hearing, though I don't know how they'd do it considering the A/C is belt driven . . . But "BlueEfficiency" Mercedes have start/stop and their AC doesn't turn off, to my knowledge (just spent 20 minutes in one earlier tonight at work).
