I was going to say don't do it, but then I read the part where you said you were in a Jeep Liberty.

 

I was surprised at how much they gave in the trade, 3 year old liberty with 71000 miles, but I'm sure it was reflected in the final cost of the truck.

 

Yeah, sometimes the salesmen and/or finance guys will tweak numbers to suit them better. When I bought my truck, I "paid sticker/asking price" but got a lot more on my trade the way they wrote it up. I know our sales guy do stuff like that.
