Grinding while engaging 4x4

Hey guys just wondering if anyone else has experienced this ... This just happened a couple times tonight but it was constant, at any speed while I engage 4x4 it makes a scraping or light grinding noise when going into 4 wheel drive . It works fine and doesn't pop out or anything just the grinding !! And it just started happening. I've put it in 4 wheel going 100 kms an hour and just the usual clunk never grinding ...

Weak vacuum will cause the hubs to slowly engage and grind during engagement. Start by checking your vacuum lines going to the hubs and check your vacuum signal, you may have a low or no signal due to the supercharger you just put on.

Checked all the lines and found a line that is worn a bit from rubbing the A arm but doesn't seem to be worn through yet ... How would I check the signal ?

Stick a portable vac gauge on the end of the line by the hub and start up the truck and see what you get. Another possibility is your hubs are damaged to the point they grind when you try to engage 4wd. If that's the case, new hubs are in order.

I don't see how as I very rarely use 4x4 just turn it on once and a while to keep it lubed up and if I hit snow at home ..
I think it's the line I found cause it's pretty worn.. Thanks for the input and I hope the hubs are fine ...
