I found a shell from a 2007 SCrew that I want to buy locally for my 2012 SCrew. Is the 5.5 bed on the 2012 the same dimensions as the 2007? I dont want to "get it close, " as I want it to look like it belongs on the truck. Thanks in advance.

From the 2007 truck to the 2012 truck, the bed length is the same. However, with the 2009-current truck, the tailgate now has a "lip" of sorts, making the top of the tailgate at the back stick out farther than what was there in 2007. So, depending on the construction of the shell, especially if it was meant to encapsulate the entire tailgate top, it may not fit.

What kind of shell is it that you're looking at?

Unfortunately, looking at that, I doubt it will fit a 2009+ truck. The "lip" that I speak of is not only on the tailgate itself, but also on each side a bit. Since this topper hugs the top of the bed so tightly, it looks like a no-go to me. Nice shell, for sure.
