2009 F150 Long Tube Headers

I'm having trouble finding a long-tube header that says it works for a 2009, I see up to 2008 and then some for 2010 but not much listed for 09'

I was looking at Dynatech's but didn't want to buy unless I was sure the worked.

Please let me know, I will be putting a ProCharger on this truck so I need it to breath out well.

thanks.

Has to be a 5.4 cause no one makes LTs for the 4.6 except Pacesetter. Don't think 2WD or 4x4 matters either

I think the Dynatech SuperMaxx ones are supposed to fit for you, but I'm only positive about the headers for the 04-08 5.4s. Got OBX ones on my 06.

Edit: Ope, had the window open for a while and didn't see you post.

Stainless works makes 4.6 2v headers fyi.

Anyways, Dynatech is top notch. I'd call them and stainless works to find out. SW typically is 100-200 more than Dynatech but both are excellent manufacturers. They would know about fitment. Let us know, good luck.

Quality headers cost money. No way in hell I'd cheap out on something so tough to install. I may be in the minority on here, but that's not something I'd skimp on. Known, tried and true fit and quality.

Thanks for the info, it looks like I can choose from Kook's, American Racing Headers and Stainless Works. All of which are pricy, but you typically get what you pay for.

I will basically be running a down spout at that spot. too much rear suspension travel so the exhaust has to be done before the rear axle.

any help in figuring this out is appreciated.

I can't tell you where that Stainless Works set up would end, but attaching a muffler to that, even if it needs to be moved back some to get it where you want it, would be an easy job. Get some 304 2.5" (or whatever size) pipe and 4 clamps and you're done.

It will definitely be short enough that it won't be ending right at the rear axle so close that you can't add a muffler. It should be at least 2 feet away from the looks of it.

Got this thing slammed or set up with long travel?

Long Travel, the factory frame is cut off right at the back of the cab. 26" of rear travel.
Basically I want the back of the muffler to end at the back of the cab so only the downspout tailpipe sticks past the cab.
