I have a 2011 F150 with in dash NAV.

First off, Can I watch videos on my NAV screen via my cell phone or hard drive, or will videos only work via DVD?

Secondly, I have never updated my SYNC, yet the Ford SYNC website says I have the most up to date version (Gen1 - V3.2- NOV, 5 2010), can I not update it with the latest version for 2013?


Any info would be appreciated...

 

Our earlier SYNC systems didn't have much, if any updates. My 11 without NAV had only one update and that we back in early 2011. So, it's best that you accept this as "it is, what it is"

 

I spoke with a nice lad from Ford Sync customer service, he said that there was an update, but if my SYNC system was working fine not to bother with the update, as it was a dealer only fix for some reason...

Unless your truck came with the DVD option, the navigation system will not play movies.
