New 2013 Ecoboost XLT

Picked up a new Super Crew XLT Ecoboost 2013 Thursday night due to to this Truck in shop
Still not familiar with what is in or on the truck but here is a few that I remember.

Towing package with 3:73 gear + Dumbo mirrors
Back up sensors
Backup camera
Tailgate step
Electric rear window slide and defog
Spray-in Bedliner
Cab step 5"
Fog lights

About the only thing i do not like is the wheels ..just a bit too much bling bling but it will do for now.

I'm am pretty impressed how this truck drives, a huge leap forward comparing with my XL 2005 and I just loved that one.
Here is the only picture ..yet

More to come

Very nice... I did the same thing back in Feb! Looks like you have the Max Tow and the Chrome Package.. I've got the same, except I've got the chrome 20" wheels.. They are growing on me.... A bit blingly as you say!

Nice looking truck. One of the volume dealers in the area just started marking down certain 2013's by 10,000 to 12,000 dollars. Do you plan on towing with it?

I did not go out looking for a towing edition, only got it because of the rebates and my other truck blew up. I had my eye on one with a better gear ratio, but more than $5000 extra in rebates talks loud
My old truck I got for towing but have since sold the boat because i ran out of time to play with the boat + boat actually means Break Out Another Thousand

Had your eye on one with a better gear ratio?? Can't get better than 3.73 unless you order the HD payload (#8200 GVWR, 7 lug wheels) or a Raptor (both can get 4.10 gears)..

I ended up $10k under sticker and that's why it's in my garage now too..

Enjoy!

Why was it a mistake mtnmanut? Because of the price, or because it's an ecoboost?

Hate to say it,but I have bought a lot of new vehicles but this is the worst and dealer is impossible ,all they do is try to fill you with bs. started out 9.8 mpg average , dealer said normal, had a knock in it,dealer said normal. At 2000 mile after months of complaining and the assist of ford, they put in a new motor . Mileage has improved up to 13.2 mpg average, still sucks,no where near there sticker mpg average .Paying for something I don't even want to drive. I drive the 06 5.4 4x4 most of the time. mileage is much better and I don't worry about it letting me down, just don't trust the ecoboost and every time I look at the mpg gauge I t just pisses me off. A lot of money for a lemon. sorry but you ask, and I don't think ford cares. I know the dealer doesn't. next closest dealer is 60 miles away. I can drive the 06 there 2 times for what one trip in the eco does. The 06 does about 18 mpg and that's with a 105,000 miles

Wow, I hate to hear that. I just bought a 2012 ecoboost. So far I'm getting 17.7 in town, only had it since last Thursday. I have a trip up the highway next week I have to make, hope to see close to 20. Sounds like you got a bad one. Too bad it's brand new under warranty and they won't fix it.

Sorry to hear of your troubles MTNMANUT, well so far iøm pretty pleased I cant speak to the mileage have not driven it long enough but if the dash counts its about 14,7 all city driving but i think one would have to wait a few thousand miles anyway.
This has to be the most quiet and smooth engine I have ever owned and the power is incredible, My buddy has a Frontier with a 4 liter v6 i think and compare the two the frontier is noisy as hell.
Anyway I have read about some of the troubles people have had but over all it seems like a good engine, but i did get the 7 year 85000 mile extended warranty just to cover my ***.

Congrats Peladho

There is always someone that was not happy with their purchase.

Me on the otherhand love my 13 eb, 28k miles in 11 months. 18.5 mpg lifetime average. Last 3 tanks have been 19.4, 20.2, 20.5 and right now sitting at 21.2 mpg with a half a tank.
