Duce has a (what almost $2k?) set of retro'd heads getting made for him. I don't know what problem he has.

Hey, you made that decision, not me! my retro budget is gonna max out at $800 at the absolute most and will likely be half that.

The rep said they were the best I could get as far as headlight HID kits, just have to get a housing I like... But as far as all that, I want those 2 off road lights n bull bar up front, and 4 on the roll bar in the back... Suggestions...?
Order that using the group buy promo code and save 25%'.
Those new mini D2S are pretty good and really easy to retro.. If you want more output look into fx-r on their site. It just consists of more cutting.. Or if you want even better light output look into their OEM HID projectors like the route I'm going.. Gonna cost a lot more but will be worth it.. I have a little over $600 into mine and I'm doing them myself..

At that price you can have one amazing set of lights if you do it yourself, or one still really good set if someone does it for you..

For most pnp'ers its all about looks.. To a retrofit enthusiast it looks ricey and horrible.

After I sell the stockers I'll have about $1k into it. They haven't started on them yet, which means I haven't paid yet. Everyday that goes by I think "do I really NEED these." Haha. I'm sure it will be worth it.

But man, I really wish I had it in me to bust the heads open myself. I'd save about $500.

I know how you feel, cause I don't even want to take my eBay heads apart . . . Otherwise, I probably would've done it months ago, but now I'm looking at other, much more expensive things haha. I also don't really trust that they're be reliable. I know tons of people have them with minimal issues, but because they'll be on MY truck, I know I'll have some kind of gremlin that I won't want to fart around with.

May I ask what you are getting that costs that much?

Or are you still having projectorretrofit do an OEM HID set to evox-r?

If you are worried about reliability then get all OEM parts. Then there should be no issues

I'm having raptorretrofit do the EVoX-r swap. I tried to get Joseph to do it, but he would never respond to my emails. I got someone lined up to buy my stock heads for 900

It's more a concern with the parts not belonging on our trucks, like they didn't come with them. At the end up the day, we're opening housings that aren't supposed to be opened, cutting them up, and then slapping some parts from completely different vehicles into the headlights. Just seems like there can be a lot of potential issues. 99% of people won't have them, but I will

I don't mean to make it sound like retroing is something 16 year olds do and that it's ghetto or something like that, but still . . .
