I have a dark grey F-150 and thought the new red emblems would look good on my truck. With the cost of these emblems being so high, I decided to go with the overlays first to see if I liked the color on the truck. I picked them up on ebay for $12.00. I installed the yesterday, and I have to say, I really like how they look.

 

I uploaded pics, but I can't get them on here. They are in my album. Can someone tell me how to attach them? I tried photobucket, but that confuses me too.

I did the same, just waiting for warmer weather to paint the chrome black.

 

I don't really think those red overlays go with our gray trucks, unless you have something else that they compliment that can't be seen in those two pics.

 

How do you remove the fender/tailgate badge?

 

Hair dryer (to soften the double-sided tape) and gradual, gentle prying with nylon pry bars ...*Others use fishing line to sever the double-sided tape.

Mineral spirits | GOOF OFF to remove the tape residue.

I used the fishing line and it worked very well.
