Time to jack her up!
The stock Pirelli's weigh 45 lbs and that's the reason they're on the truck's from the factory for better fuel economy...performance and braking. For a balance between look's and towing I would go with a 1 1/2 to 2 inch leveling kit and run Firestone Ride Rite airbag's in the rear to adjust rear height when towing. I like the Goodyear Duratracs in the kind of odd size LT285x60x20 (33.5x12) tires show only 57 lbs so the performance drop shouldn't be too bad. Price and sidewall flex sound like the only two negatives I've heard about this tire. Put in a picture above of the Duratrac....a LT275x65x20 (34x11) would be another good option and is a standard size tire offered by many companies.

Interesting that you mentioned the Duratracs... I've been looking at those in that exact size quite carefully for the same reasons you mentioned.
I have the MaxTow package on my truck, and that means my rear springs are a bit different. Heavier duty I assume. With that difference, would that make my truck have more rake? I measured and came up with a 3.25 inch difference between front and back and am wondering if non-MaxTow trucks compare with that.
Either way, I am leaning to the 1.5 inch AutoSpring level kit to retain some rake and allow 33's when the time comes. From what I've read the 1.5in kit will provide 2 inches of front level.

Depends on where you measured at.
As for the kit, a 1.5" level kit will give you 1.5". A spacer that is 1.5" thick will give you around 2" or so. The kit will come with a spacer that is thinner than the advertised amount of lift.

How much should it cost to have a leveling kit installed? Keep in mind I'm in Canada so it may be a bit higher than the US, but all said and done, parts, labor, alignment, everything, to level out the front only?
So $600 seems kinda high then. That's what I was thinking when I heard it too.
By the way, the measurement I took (3.25 inches of rake) was the difference between the height of the top of each fender to the ground. 40.5 rear, 37.25 front.

Depends on what leveling kit they're using too. The price I said would be with the autospring kit, because it's one of the cheapest and the only one I can remember the price of haha. It also depends on whether they're tacking on the cost of shipping it from the US to Canada onto your bill.
Yeah it was autospring. I can get the part off ebay for about 100 dollars, so 500 for labor and an alignment seems steep to me... I was expecting more like 400 for everything but maybe I'm dreaming.
$350 after alignment is the reasonable cap down here. But I think I've heard that y'all pay more for labor and whatnot than we do too. Maybe take a trip down to Michigan or something?
Was that to me? That was 80 for the AS, 80 for alignment, and 190 ish for 2 hours of labor. And that's the highest it should be
Eh a mix of you and the OP since he was quoted 500 just for the alignment and install. Canada must have some crazy labor prices.
I gotcha. Yeah, it seems like they have to pay through the teeth for literally everything. I'd be saving even more by doing everything myself up there lol. If I had to pay people to do some mods, I doubt I'd be modding anything!
