New Truck!

I haven't posted in a while, just been reading. But I picked up a new truck! Ive seen a few guys from the 97-03 section have upgraded also. It really has not set in that its mine yet!

2013 FX4 402a 3.55 gears, 18" wheels (I didn't want the 20's).

And not after driving 2 miles from the dealer this happend!

But the dealer got it squared away, so I am as happy as I could be with a patch in a bran new tire.

This was my old truck, she never let me down. Hope this one doesn't either.

P.S. I don't know how people are complaining about gas mileage, I got over 21 MPG off the lie-o-meter on the way back from the dealer. With only 50 miles on the odo!

Cheers

That's exactly what my truck looked like when I drove off the lot, minus the flat sack.

Good looking truck congrats, think I would have asked for a new tire but at least they took care of it.

thats pretty good MPG! my avg with the 235's was around 17, with the new 285's the avg is around 15.5-16 with the 5.0. i love it, but feeling maybe the eco would have been a little better option

Thanks guys!

I'm trying to get the dealer to trade out the tires for another set, some a/t's (I would have to pay the price difference I'm sure). I'm not really sure why ford put these tires on a 4x4 truck. Ive been reading some tire reviews, and they are mostly terrible.

Check your sticker.

There's a good chance you actually paid for "All Terrain" tires but got what you got. After buying his 2012 F150, a good friend of mine noticed that his sticker price called for "All Terrain" tires, but the tires he got were the same ones I got (Goodyear...some kinda street tire in the 18" size). After telling his salesman that he didn't pay for street tires and he wanted what he paid for, they just swapped them for him.

Of course, all dealerships are different. However, it's worth a shot!

The EPA **** whinin' about gas mileage. That is why. They can't claim the MPG stats they do on the window sticker with quality A/Ts.

Nice new truck BTW.
