2014 F150 FX2 Pricing

Not sure this is the right place for this thread. Mods please move if so.

I am looking to order an FX2 and am curious about the prices I have been getting.

FX2
Extended Cab (SuperCab)
402A
FX Appearance
Navigation
Wheel Well Liners
MSRP 44250

Dealer A- 39193
Dealer B- 3000 off (Spec'd a SuperCrew instead of SuperCab)
Dealer C- 40898
Dealer D- 4200 off (Screwed up the quote every time)

I cant help but think these are seriously high. Especially considering 2015s will be here in 6-8 months. I was thinking it would be around 10k off right now. Does anyone know when the closing date for ordering MY2014s is? I dont want to overpay but I also dont want to miss out on ordering what I want either.

Thanks

No way are you going to get 10k off on a factory order this early in the model year. I think the best you are gonna do is $200 over invoice, less applicable rebates and incentives.

See if you can get an X-plan pin from someone that works for Ford.

You should be able to get 8-10k off in a couple months. I bought a '12 in February and '13 in March and got about 10k and 9k off each respectively.

I'd also search for a dealer that has the truck you want. Where are you located?

Thanks for the replies. Im in oklahoma. Ive had a couple of dealers do searches and the truck I want isnt out there.
I have the ability to get x plan through mustang club of america. Dealer A said the price he gave me was lower than x plan.

I think I might order mid to late february to get closer to the cut off so maybe there will be better rebates out there.

I kinda doubt that.

What you need to do is research the invoice price on exactly how you would order it. X-plan calculates like this - take the invoice price and subtract 0.4%. Then add $275. Then subtract all applicable incentives. With X-plan, the dealer is limited to a $100 doc fee (or lower if governed by state law).

Yup, and that is how they get you. They give you a low price on the truck, and then add doc fee, administration fee, BS fee, etc.

I just bought a '13 XLT on D plan. They have to show you the invoice, and can only charge the $100 max for doc fee (normally $475 here in NC), and you get all of the rebates on top of that. The administration fee is built in to the vehicle price. I had one dealership try to tack on the $475 doc fee to the D plan price. Told them no way, and looked elsewhere.

I shopped around before I told the dealerships I was going to buy on D plan. I could not get anywhere near the OTD price I ended up with.

What about a New 13? Grapevine ford in the fort worth area sent me a email with 14,000 off remaining 13 models. The 13 and 14s are the same so why not save some coin and go with the 2013.

Memorial day will be your best bet, that is the best weekend to buy a vehicle. 2013 the Ford dealers in AZ were offering 10k off F150's and 0% financing for 72 months....I was seriously depressed when I saw the sale, but still hadn't sold my old truck yet.
