Why can't snow float in through the system if it is -40 degrees outside everything is bitter cold.

I'm sure if you have some smoke machine outside the intake it would produce smoke on the inside coming through the vents
Maybe, but if that's the case why aren't all of the other Canucks on here having the same problem? There's a ton of people on here from Canada, Minnesota, Wisconsin etc where it gets cold and snows a lot. They should all be experiencing something like this quite frequently. Something tells me there's more to this story.

Dust the snow off your windshield and cowl, problem solved. My dad's 1990 F150 would do the same thing if we didn't brush the snow off.

I do own a Ford truck.Have had ford trucks for 20 years. My windows are closed.I thought I would come on here and see if I could get some help but just a bunch of guys calling me a liar.So be it but come up to northern, manitoba in -57c and you might experience the same if you have a 2013 ford f-150.If you don't believe me call 1-204-687-3940 and ask for
Chris yourself. Thanks for all the great help.

Some of your comments weren't exactly objective. It sounded like you were calling your truck a POS and that Chebbies and Dodges were better. I usually don't make comments like I did, but that's why I made that one.

I live in Wisconsin, and have had it "snow" in the cab as described, but not to that extent that the seats are covered. GLC is correct, you need to remove the snow from the cowl, that's what causes it on my truck.

If the truck sleeps in a garage, your not likely to experience this issue.

I have had this happen too but nowhere near the volume the OP is claiming. It is more of a short burst of fine snow when you first turn the heater fan on but I do brush the snow off my truck. I would guess that if you had allot of fine powder snow on or in your cowl vent that this would happen in a larger volume. If it were me I would brush the truck off before you start it and if it still does it put the heat to the floor when starting and switch it when it clears. I can't see this being a Ford only problem. I have had it in many different brands as they all get air from the same place (outside the cab).

It may be a Ford only problem if the other vehicles are running a cabin air filter...

I'm not saying Dodge and Chevy are better. They aren't better.I do brush off my truck but for some reason it is getting in there through the vents.Ford is going to replace the blending motor they said as this might be the reason why it is doing this.Seems like it is freezing up and causing the snow to come through like this.I hope this works. The 2013 F-150 trucks are the only year of F-150 doing it here.Guess I will find out next week until then I will put a cover over my vents at night.

Sounds like their solution isn't much of a solution at all. I'd call Ford Canada and discuss a better solution. Perhaps either replacing your setup with either the 2012 or 2014 design.... Running recirc before you shut it off is just plain dumb. It in of itself will promote interior window freezing, unless after the recirc, you swap it again to draw in fresh air.

I don't accept their solution. I'd look into lemon laws in Manitoba, and be ready for when this problem re-occurs.
