Anyone know the difference from 2010 & (11-14) fog lamps?

My 2010 FX4 drivers side fog lamp is hazing or melting in the center of the lens. The passenger side is fine. I run Silverstar 9145's in both for 60k miles.
I assumed all 09-14 fogs were the same. But Tasca and eBay show one $30 lamp housing part #A for 06-10 and a part #B $58 housing for 11-up. Will the new one fit my 2010? I thought maybe it was glass lens and not plastic? If the new one is built better I would rather use it. If I have to I can remove the lamps from my own trucks and compare them. But it is cold outside! Thanks!

I can almost guarantee you that they are nor glass. Too expensive, too heavy, and too breakable. As to what they difference is, your bets bet is contact Tasca.

Go to the Illumination and Lighting forum, then go to Official Headlight bulb guide sticky. The info you need is there. Briefly, the '06'-'11 (and probably on up to '14) all use plastic housings. 9140 are stock so 9145 "should" be fine. 9140=40 watts (900 lumens), 9145=45 watts (1100 Lumens). After the amount of time your talking about, and if you use them a lot, it probably just happened slowly over time and you're noticing it now. I have the PIAA HB ion bulbs in mine, I prefer the amber hue for fog lights. They are suppose to be rated at 55 watts? But I mostly just use them in foul weather. That's the jist of it. Hope that helps......

Just peeking at my 2011 and 2010 the adjuster screw is on the opposite side for the different years. I may pull the brackets and check it out when the weather improves.

There is obviously something very different between them, the 11 up are almost twice the price as the 09-10. If exactly the same, they would be the same price.
