After searching and not seeing a thread.... Has anyone had any problems with their rear doors on a super cab not unlatching? The driver side rear door top latch will unlatch one but the bottom one will not budge. Anyone have any success fixing?

They use the same mech? Sorry for the delay, I have a 2010 Supercab.

 

How can I release the lower latch? After window glass broke, lower latch jammed closed. Handle and cables are ok.

I removed the interior panel, and every bit of glass I could see, but there may be more inside jamming the latch. I used a shop vac to get most loose glass, and sticky tape on a screwdriver to get a few bits out of tight corners. If I could get the door to open I would remove hinges, turn it upside down and shake the ***** out of it, then reassemble



Mirrored inside view of lower latch - riveted in place? 1/2" access hole visible, next step might be to expand that for better access to latch?

Alarm did not go off after smash and grab!?! Temporary window seal. New glass ready to go in.
