2013 F150..Should I?

Current owner of a 2011 XLT crew w/ 5.0. It hasn't been a bad truck. Currently at 60k and am thinking about trading it in. Have the Ecoboost issues been fixed on the 13's?

I think they are mostly fixed. Not heard many complaints on the 13 models other than some people's bad fuel economy, just depends how you drive it. Either truck will be great though.

Let us know what you get!

I have a 13 Eco. Had the intercooler issue once and it hasn't happened since. Brought up codes relating to TSB's for older models stating that there "was no current fix". My truck has the "upgraded" intercooler shield but still had the issue in damp, humid conditions. 900 mi when it first happened, just under 7k on it now. It has been a phenomenal truck since and never experience the issue again.

Hopefully it never comes back.

I have never had one issue with my 2012 ecoboost. Remember, ford has sold hundreds of thousands, if not millions of units compared to the hundreds who continually complain online. Yea, there where some legitimate issues... Or so I am told, one guy even tried to tell me because his truck had the issue (condensation) and our build date was in the same month mine just had to have the issue too... There are also some real whiners who I don't think are ever happy.

I currently have an '11 EB. No issues in daily driving or towing car trailers in almost 40k miles. However, residual values are pretty good around here and rebates are excellent on '13s so I'm trading it in on a new one this week. A-plan + Incentives + 1.75% interest + trade-in = new truck with more "stuff" for the same payment.

The new truck is also a Blue Flame FX4 SCrew so I doubt anyone will even notice that I got a new one if they don't notice the HIDs.

The answer to "Should I buy a new truck" is always "Quick-before the wife figures out what I am plotting secretly in the garage"

Wait. If yer single, wouldn't that mean you wouldn't be in that situation?

Oh! I get it. Yer sayin' that if yer in that situation, you will be single!

If I was in the market fer a truck right now, I'd wait fer the 2015s if at all possible. However, all the drive-trannys Ford currently offers are great. Great trucks. Can't go wrong either way.

Are you debating trading in for just an eco and keeping it if not or trading in for sure and going with another 5.0 or and eco?

I got a text message from my dad at 9am this morning asking for an A-plan PIN #. A half hour later he sent a photo of a 2014 F250 to me and my mom. I'm pretty sure that's how he told her that he's buying a new truck.

My '13 has been good so far at 700 miles. I beat on it regularly so I think that helps keeping the intercooler "clean" lol.

I'd rather have the 6.2 in the F-150!
