Ecoboost or 5.0 which would you choose?

Agreed, it's not tacky and over the top. Very clean and mean looking. I had a '03 with the deep wedgewood blue and loved it when it was clean. Otherwise it felt like I owned a black truck. Seemed to get dirty within and hour unless I Cali Car Dusted it or quick detailed it.

lots of work though keeping her polished and clean. My silver looks clean after 2 weeks of neglect

I test drove both back to back, same style, same rear end, even same color. Took both on same exact route. Felt that the 5.0 was better suited for my needs. More than satisfied with my choice and have no concerns of hooking up a trailer of any size and going down the road with it. Test drive both and choose. Im glad I did becuase before I drove the 5.0 I had it in my head I wanted the ecoboost. Best of luck with your decision.

I love the deep wedgewood color, too! I was so bummed when they discontinued it.
The dark blue pearl metallic is a nice color, but I feel the same as you a lot of times. As soon as it's clean, it starts feeling like owning a black truck. Good way to put it.
That's what I loved about the wedgewood and the DBPM now. Layers of colors that change with different angels and lighting. After I washed the truck last week, it had a definite purplish hue in the twilight. Cool stuff!

The big factor for me choosing the 5.0 was due to the simple fact that I've had numerous Ford vehicles with V8s that have never let me down, they are usually easy to work on, and can get a ton of mileage out of them with little maintenance. When shopping around, I bought my F150 based on the best value for the dollar, so I was open to getting an EB, but they were only available in trucks that were $10k higher due to the options/package. Either engine has proven its worth, so I somewhat see the discussion here as being based upon the owner/driver driving experience. And as its been said before, it's a Ford truck, so you can't go wrong no matter what!

IMHO, the big difference is in the prep prior to waxing. I use the Mequiar's clay bar kit and the Meguiar's Ultimate polish. I believe that's where the real "depth" comes from.
However, I'm considering seeing what all the hub-bub is about regarding some of the Menzerna and Wolfgang products. I hear really good things about them, and since they have wax sealants available, they supposedly last considerably longer. I'm not unhappy with my current method, but I am curious to see if the buzz about Menzerna and/or Wolfgang products is warranted.

Lighting makes all the difference on a DBPM truck. Here is same truck in the middle of winter and it looks like a$$ by comparison.
My next truck will be blue flame, I had an 11 fusion SEL in that color and its another beautiful blue when clean.
I also wish they offered performance blue metallic from the focus on the trucks, I bought my kid a 13 focus in that color. Under the right conditions it almost looks purple.

I dunno, man. BFM is super-nice, but DBPM is pretty versatile....
It can look like regular ol' DBPM:
Or, it can seem like it's actually BFM in spots with a mix of DBPM:
Or, it can look just like BFM:
Or black!
Or, my personal favorite, the electric blue color that it turns in florescent lighting that the camera doesn't fully capture:
I know! Let's make this a "Which is better, DBPM or BFM?" thread!
