Because Ford doesn't HAVE a turbo 5.0 or 6.2. They aren't going to EPA certify a different engine for a single limited production vehicle, that would be far from cost-effective. If they didn't build it with parts that they already have in the system and are already certified, it would cost even MORE.

It would also hurt their corporate average fuel economy, which is now a BIG issue. It's a big enough issue where we may see the 6.2 go away real soon.

I agree, 14 is probably the last year for the 6.2

More grist for the mill...

What exactly do we have? I have seen absolutely nothing valid. He lost all credibility with his base price of a 2WD reg cab.

That pricing was a salesman pulling numbers out of his ... imagination. He's guessing at the numbers, because there is no comparable model on which to base his prices.

Hey Rambo, thanks for the link. I went over to BOF and posted to set them straight. They were basically saying that my salesman and there for I was pulling the numbers out of our backside.

I just stumbled on an article by automobile magazine on the tremor pricing. here is an excerpt from said article.

When the truck goes on sale around Thanksgiving, look for the rear-wheel drive FX2 model to start at $39,400 and the all-wheel drive FX4 to be about $4,000 dearer. Both models come standard with the F-150’s FX Appearance Package, including flat black accents, 20-inch matte black wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion STR rubber, HID headlights, and a unique exterior graphics package. Inside, the 2014 F-150 Tremor features a flow-through center console, leather bucket seats with Alcantara seat inserts, and a red-stitched steering wheel.

If you add in the $1995 for the tremor plus pack that puts it right at the 41,400 my dealer quoted me.

That's about $3,800. more than a XLT regular cab EB. Not including any discounts.

Just wonder if rebates will be offered on these over the coming months or years? 6 to 8k off would be nice.

They will probably sell as many as they choose to build, and I doubt you will see any rebates or discounts.

What about the Boss 5.4? Those sold.

There will always be people who have enough money to buy things that look "cool". I'm not one of those people.
