Good afternoon all.

I need to put a hitch on my 2010. I have a local shop who will do it for $225 out the door. I would rather do it myself because I can save $75 or so.

Are these trucks prewire for pig tails or no?

Also, what brand hitch would you recommend?

I dot plan on doing any heavy hauling. I have a 16ft inclosed I use to haul around a few quads... Buying a boat soon... Nothing major.

I have a Valley Class 3 hitch I added aftermarket on my own STX. Curtis, Reese and Hidden Hitch are good brands, as well.

Are there any real differences between a Reese and a Hidden hitch?

Does the hidden hitch "tuck" more behind the bumper?

I'm just looking for something "clean" that will get the job done.

Thank you for the reply... The 09+ forum isn't quite as active as I'm used to.

You could possibly got to a wrecking yard and pull off a factory ford hitch

To answer your question about clean--do you want "stock" or "clean"? Clean, to me, would look like a Suburban/Yukon that has the hitch coming out of the middle of the bumper. Mine is stock, and I don't think it distracts from the look of the truck

I put this one on my STX.

http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitc...eid=2011301180

I'm pretty sure that I bought it from etrailer.com, but I swear I paid less than that.

Very easy install.

You can see it in this pic, it tucks in nicely. All you see is the receiver which I have a rubber cover on.

"Clean" in my opinion is where just the receiver drops down and tucks underneath the bumper. That's the way my '05 was.

Thank you wittom.

I ordered the Reese. However, after comparing photos it is identical to what you have. Great.

Thank you all.
