Ordered '13 FX4 bc the truck doesnt exist

Decided it was time to retire the '07 and headed to my local dealer with all the options I wanted written down for the new 150. Well turns out this truck doesnt exist within 1000 mi radius so had to order. I am very impatient so not sure how I am going to handle the 6-8 week wait I was told. Anyways its a sterling grey FX4 Screw 6.5' bed, 6.2L, 402a, 3.73's, 20's, max tow, and tailgate step. I am already planning the mods: leveled with novakanes, SW exhaust, and whipple. My current truck will be up for sale soon and if no bites then ill be parting it out and trading the truck. Looks like ill be a little more active on here again...

Sounds like you are a heart surgeon! The wait will be worth it, going to be an awesome truck!

6.2L's in general are hard to find, congrats on your new truck!

I had the exact same thing happen to me, closest truck was over 1200 miles away that had the features and color I wanted. If you get a decent order priority from your dealer you could see your truck as soon as 4 weeks, or as late as 8 weeks.

Mine was ordered 5-14-2013, it's scheduled to be built 6-11-2013. Ford's ETA is showing June 22nd to June 28th, but it is very possible for it to be sooner than that. The last truck I ordered was exactly 4 weeks from order date to it being at the dealer. Generally speaking once you get your VIN# from my experience it is about 4 weeks away.

Thats good news prime. Only thing im hopin for is that the rebates go up in the next couple months. Dont know if it will be close enough to the end of the model year yet.
